Denys Matsuyev

Managing Director, Equity Sales and Trading

Denys Matsuyev, Managing Director, Sales and Trading, supervises a team trading Ukrainian equity and derivative instruments in Kyiv, Warsaw, London and Frankfurt. He has been with Dragon Capital since 2006 and boasts more than 19 years of experience in the investment services industry. His trading expertise and international experience helped to grow Dragon Capital into a leading brokerage house in Ukraine with a third of reported transactions on the domestic exchange. Denys graduated from State University of New York and completed an internship at Auerbach Grayson, a New York-based global broker.

 

    Andriy Dmytrenko, CFA

    Managing Director, Equity Sales

    Andriy Dmytrenko joined Dragon Capital as an Equity Analyst shortly after the company was founded in 2000 and was promoted to Head of Research in 2001 and Chief Strategist in 2005 before joining the company’s sales team in 2007. Andriy has overseen the development of Dragon’s retail business since 2009 which includes brokerage, online trading, investment funds and wealth management for retail clients. While at Dragon’s research department, he covered the energy, steel and telecoms sectors. Prior to Dragon, Andriy worked as an Economic Analyst at the Government of Ukraine’s Center for Policy Studies, as a Market Researcher at the Kyiv office of KPMG Barents Group, and as an Account Executive at the Kyiv office of AC Nielsen. In 1998-2000, Andriy worked in a retail branch of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter (Arkansas, USA) as an Assistant Account Executive. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Arkansas (USA) and a degree in Economics from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine). Andriy became a CFA charter holder in 2004.

     

      Andriy Bespyatov, Ph.D., CFA

      Managing Director, Research

      Andriy Bespyatov has almost twenty years’ experience in the Ukrainian securities market. Andriy joined Dragon Capital as an equity analyst in 2001. During his tenure at Dragon Capital, Andriy analyzed companies in the oil and gas, chemical, machine-building, and metals & mining sectors, and was responsible for macroeconomic research. He was named "Top Ukraine Analyst" and “Top Ukraine Analyst in the Oil & Gas Sector” in a Thomson Extel Survey in 2008. He was promoted to the position of Head of Research in 2005 and currently manages the largest research department in Ukraine covering all publicly traded Ukrainian companies and bond issuers as well as economics and politics. Under Andriy’s supervision, Dragon Capital’s research team has remained in the Top 3 in all surveys on research in Ukraine, including Thomson Extel, Institutional Investor and Cbonds.

      Andriy holds a Master’s degree from the joint graduate program of the Donetsk National Technological University (Ukraine) and Dutch Hogeschool van Utrecht (the Netherlands). He has also completed a finance program at Arizona State University (USA). Andriy became a CFA charter holder in 2004, and a year later he earned a Ph.D. in International Economics from the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences Institute of World Economy and International Relations.

       

       

        Olena Bilan

        Chief Economist

        Olena Bilan has more than ten years’ experience in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. Olena joined Dragon Capital in 2006 as an economist and fixed-income analyst. She was promoted to the position of Chief Economist in 2009, taking charge of macroeconomic forecasting and analysis of economic developments, credit and currency markets in Ukraine. Olena was named a top-three analyst in the Ukrainian financial market in the Thomson Reuters Extel survey of global institutional investors. In 2016, she became a member of the Board of Directors of the Kyiv school of Economics. Prior to joining Dragon Capital, Olena worked at IER, a leading Ukrainian think tank, and investment fund SigmaBleyzer. In 2002, Olena received a Master’s in International Economics from the EERC program at the University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (currently the Kyiv School of Economics) and a degree in Computer Science from National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

         

          Eugene Baranov

          Managing Director, Private Equity

          Eugene Baranov, Managing Director, is responsible for private investments of Dragon Capital. Eugene has experience in the successful management and implementation of projects in the sectors of retail, real estate, FMCG, engineering. Also, Mr. Baranov has successful experience in projects with industrial restructuring investment-attractive assets in real estate. He sit on the board of seven companies from Eastern Europe working in the retail, real estate, building materials, FMCG and oil & gas sector. From December 2011 to November 2013 he worked as General Director of network of the building supermarkets Nova Linia. Eugene graduated with honors and holds a master’s degree from Kyiv National Economic University
