Business Profile
Dniprospetsstal is Ukraine’s monopoly producer of specialty steel with annual crude steel capacity of 700 kt. In 2008, investment fund East One, which manages Ukrainian businessman Viktor Pinchuk’s assets, sold a 60% stake in Dniprospetsstal to Russian group VSE. The company reported poor profitability in 2009 due to weak demand and falling prices on the specialty steel market last year.
