Founded in 1961, Kremenchuk Wheel Plant is the monopoly manufacturer of steel cold-stamped wheels in Ukraine. The plant, with annual capacity of 6.5 million wheels, produces a broad range of wheels for cars (86% of output), trucks and buses (6%) and agricultural vehicles (8%), accounting for about 40% of car wheels and 90% of agricultural vehicle wheels sold domestically. Its major customers include leading domestic and CIS automakers: Ukraine’s ZAZ, Bohdan Motors and Chernivtsi Bus; Russia’s AutoVAZ and KAMAZ, and Belarus’ Minsk Automobile Plant and Minsk Tractor Plant. The main competition for Kremenchuk Wheel comes from Russia’s K&K and Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant, Belarus’ Bobruisk Tractor Plant, Germany’s Mefro Wheels Group and Austria’s KFZ.
