Survey Names Dragon Capital as 3rd-most Inspiring Company in Ukraine September 26, 2007
Kyiv, September 26, 2007 – Investment bank Dragon Capital has taken third place in Komp&nion magazine’s fifth-annual “10 Companies that Inspire” survey. The magazine presented the results in its latest edition, which came out this week. The Komp&nion survey presents an overall ranking of major Ukrainian businesses in a range of categories as determined by local business managers and specialists. Dragon Capital, in its first year of being included in the survey, ranked behind only cellular operator Kyivstar and McDonald’s Ukraine among leading Ukrainian businesses.
The magazine conducted the survey from July through August 2007 in two stages. In the first stage, the magazine initially chose 25 prominent persons representing five important business categories – top management, finance, HR, manufacturing and PR/marketing – to determine the criteria for the survey. In the second stage, 120 top managers and specialists in various business categories were asked to name the five most-successful Ukrainian companies according to a series of 11 major criteria as determined by the initial group. This group then ranked the businesses they chose by comparing them to their idea of an “ideal” company.
The 11 major criteria were as follows: corporate policy, striving for leadership, client focus, reputation, innovativeness, unorthodox marketing, HR policy, corporate social responsibility, owners’ attitude, use of modern technologies, and market orientation.
Dragon Capital ranked especially high in five areas: innovativeness (#1); use of modern technologies (#1); client focus (#2); market orientation (#2), and owners’ attitude (#3). The final results for the 2007 survey are presented below:
1. Kyivstar 2. McDonald’s Ukraine 3. Dragon Capital 4. Inkom 5. Megapolis (Khortytsia) 6. Nemiroff 7. Sandora 8. ХХІ Century 9. Ernst & Young 10. Ukrsotsbank
