Dragon Capital Holds Ukraine Virtual Investor Conference

Dragon Capital held its Ukraine Virtual Investor Conference on June 08-09 in Kyiv.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Matti Maasikas, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, opened the event.

In his opening remarks, President Zelenskyy urged investors for long-term cooperation: "Ukraine has an ambitious post-war reconstruction program that will become the largest economic project of our time in Europe."

"Our message to investors: the EU stands with Ukraine until victory," assured Matti Maasikas.

The conference agenda consisted of three main parts: a panel discussion with government representatives and Ukraine’s international partners, a macroeconomic discussion, and a military panel.

Investors were addressed by First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko; Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba; US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink; Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko; Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Rostyslav Shurma; First Deputy Governor of National Bank of Ukraine Kateryna Rozhkova; Adviser to Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yuriy Sak; Chairman of the Center for Defense Strategies Andriy Zagorodniuk and Pershing Chair in Strategic Studies at the Center for European Policy Analysis Ben Hodges.

More than 200 investors registered for the conference, a record number in the history of Dragon Capital’s investor conferences. We observed substantial interested from different portfolio investors including real money (mutual funds), hedge funds and private equity investors.

The openness of the Ukrainian government and its readiness to communicate helped reassure the international investment community.
